After an extensive search of the property lasting weeks, the FBI has handed back Nancy’s home to her family, declaring it no longer a crime scene. This decision, the second time the property has been released since her disappearance, was announced on NBC Nightly News. Investigators have now lifted restrictions on accessing the house, as they no longer consider it necessary to maintain it as a crime scene.

Concern arose when Nancy did not attend her local church service on February 1, prompting the Pima County Sheriff’s office to label her residence a crime scene due to the discovery of suspicious items inside. Authorities suspect Nancy was forcibly taken from her home, leading her family to offer a reward of up to $1 million for her safe return.
