A significant fire has broken out at one of the world’s largest oil refineries located in Saudi Arabia. Thick columns of smoke have been observed emanating from the Aramco refinery in Ras Tanura following a reported drone strike incident.

Incidents suspected to be linked to Iran have been reported across the Middle East, including explosions in Bahrain and Dubai, smoke near the US embassy in Kuwait, and a drone strike hitting a UK military base in Cyprus. A Ministry of Defence spokesperson confirmed the drone strike on the UK military base in Cyprus that occurred last night.

Prior to the Cyprus incident, UK Prime Minister Keir Starmer disclosed that the US had been granted permission to conduct strikes on Iranian missile sites from British bases.
