Former Liverpool player and England football legend, Stephen Warnock, assisted in apprehending a man who had been spying on two women’s home for weeks by strategically waiting for him. The 44-year-old, now a pundit, took action after observing the man, identified as Andrew Mulhearn, appearing at the women’s front door through their Ring doorbell camera. Warnock, along with his fiancée, who is the sister of one of the victims, monitored the area and pursued Mulhearn when he attempted to flee upon realizing he was being watched. After a 40-minute chase, police were able to arrest Mulhearn following a 999 call.

According to the Liverpool Echo, Mulhearn, residing on the same street as the victims in Mossley Hill, Liverpool, received a 12-week suspended prison sentence for two counts of harassment without violence over several weeks in the previous summer. Warnock expressed his personal connection to the issue, emphasizing the impact on young girls and the importance of taking action to protect them. The harassment began when the victims noticed a suspicious figure on their property through the Ring doorbell camera, leading to a series of unsettling incidents.

Despite the initial police advice, Warnock felt compelled to personally intervene and monitor the situation outside the victims’ home. He recounted the events leading to Mulhearn’s eventual arrest, highlighting the collaboration with a neighbor and the authorities. Mulhearn, who initially denied any wrongdoing, eventually admitted guilt in court and received a restraining order along with community service and rehabilitation requirements. Warnock’s involvement was driven by his empathy for the victims and a desire to address the issue of harassment effectively.
