A close friend and former bandmate of Lauren Bennett recently disclosed the heartfelt aspirations they had before her untimely passing at the age of 36. The news of the former GRL star’s demise was confirmed this week, with an inquiry scheduled for October 30.
Aria Crescendo, who shared the stage with Lauren in the pop group Paradiso Girls, expressed that Lauren had been eager to stage a musical comeback with the band. Aria emphasized that her late friend was too young, beautiful, and talented to have passed away and pledged to uphold her legacy.
Both individuals were part of Paradiso Girls in the late 2000s and kept in touch as Bennett ventured into GRL in 2014, gaining global recognition for her role in LMFAO’s Party Rock Anthem in 2011.
Crescendo mentioned that the Paradiso Girls had been in discussions about reviving an unreleased album, a project that Bennett was notably enthusiastic about. She stressed the importance of honoring their late friend by seeing the project through.
In a conversation with the Daily Mail, Crescendo stated that any future releases would be dedicated to their late pal.
Reflecting on Bennett’s passing, Crescendo expressed her disbelief, describing the situation as “unfair” and highlighting the brevity of life.
Crescendo felt a deep connection with Lauren, considering her a “big sister” within the group. The pair, along with Chelsea Korka, Kelly Beckett, and Shar Mae Amor, were part of the band from 2008 to 2010, releasing only three singles and a collaboration with Lil Jon and Eve. Crescendo expressed her desire to revisit their previous work, especially their unreleased debut album.
GRL, Bennett’s former band, issued a heartfelt statement following her demise, expressing their profound sorrow and emphasizing the impact Lauren had on their lives.
Kent Police reported that they had responded to concerns about a woman in her 30s at an address in Meopham, where she was pronounced deceased. The police stated that the death was not deemed suspicious, with a report being prepared for the coroner.
