Daveigh Chase, known for her roles in “The Ring” and Disney productions, left an estate valued in the six figures following her recent passing. Despite living on the streets of Downtown Los Angeles, the former child star possessed around $400,000 in personal assets at the time of her death.
Daveigh, who died at the age of 35 on June 16, succumbed to acquired immunodeficiency syndrome (AIDS), as confirmed by a Los Angeles medical examiner’s report. The report highlighted additional health issues like chronic polysubstance use, a pattern of consuming multiple substances that detrimentally impact health and well-being.
In the aftermath of Daveigh’s death, her mother, Cathy Chase, seeks to be appointed as the administrator of the late actress’s estate. Court documents reveal that Cathy is pursuing this role due to the absence of Daveigh’s father, John Schwallier, who is believed to be residing in the Philippines with unspecified contact information but holds properties in Las Vegas.
Despite not having children or being married, Daveigh was reportedly in a relationship with Roy Hernandez, who initiated a GoFundMe campaign during her final days to provide her with comfort and support. However, her former manager, John Ryan, advised against donating to the fundraiser after her passing, stating that Daveigh’s estate could cover her cremation expenses.
Allegations were made by John that Daveigh’s father had not authorized any financial arrangements with her supposed boyfriend, emphasizing that the GoFundMe initiative was not intended for her expenses. He cautioned supporters against contributing to the campaign, claiming that the boyfriend had not informed the family of Daveigh’s deteriorating health until her passing.
