Former Detective Ruby Wolff Revisits Neverland, Confronts Unsettling Memories

Published on

Former detective Ruby Wolff, returning to Neverland after more than two decades, becomes emotional upon seeing a child’s drawing on a wall. In 2003, she had visited Michael Jackson’s property following allegations of molestation by 13-year-old Gavin Arvizo. Revisiting the ranch, situated north of Santa Barbara, stirs unsettling memories for Ruby, particularly upon encountering a tribute to the singer.

Reflecting on the innocence of children, Ruby expresses disappointment in how the child’s drawing was disregarded during the trial. Despite testifying against Jackson, she remains haunted by the acquittal and agreed to revisit the property with Mirror ahead of an upcoming film glorifying the late singer’s life.

Recalling her initial entrance into Neverland, Ruby vividly describes the eerie atmosphere, with music playing and statues of children scattered around the property. Inside the house, she was struck by the opulence and disorder, noting the excessive decorations and clutter.

Assigned to locate Jackson’s bedroom for evidence, Ruby was alarmed by the need to ring a doorbell for entry. Upon entering the bedroom, she found a disarray of items, including rotting food, scattered costumes, and misplaced belongings. Discovering pornographic materials in a briefcase was a breakthrough for the case.

During the trial, Ruby faced chaos as Jackson’s supporters gathered in Santa Maria. Witnessing Jackson’s erratic behavior, including dancing on his SUV, left her dismayed. Despite testifying against him, Jackson was ultimately acquitted after weeks of trial, leaving Ruby questioning the justice system.

With a new biopic on Jackson’s life set for release, Ruby expresses discomfort at the glorification of the singer. She questions the producers’ motives and urges them to consider the impact on innocent children. The film, starring Jaafar Jackson and Hollywood actors, fails to address the abuse allegations.

In a message to the producers, Ruby emphasizes the importance of protecting children and advocating for their well-being. The documentary “Returning to Neverland” is available for viewing on Mirror’s YouTube channel.
