A former Metropolitan Police officer has entered a plea of not guilty after being accused of defrauding high-end stores of valuable items, including a £700 bikini and a MacBook. Sunna Harrison-Aziz, 28, residing in Coulsdon, South London, faces charges related to corruption and fraud, allegedly involving falsely claiming non-receipt of online orders.
Charged with multiple counts of misusing police powers, fraudulent representation, and obstructing justice, the ex-constable has denied all ten accusations during her appearance at Southwark Crown Court. Co-defendant Edgar Morais, 30, from Croydon, also pleaded not guilty to involvement in encouraging Harrison-Aziz’s misuse of authority.
Harrison-Aziz stands accused of feigning non-delivery of luxury items, including a £700 Dior bikini, a £2,599 Apple MacBook from Currys, a £1,920 Cartier Mini Love wedding band, and an £840 Moncler Spa Abelle jacket. Additionally, she faces charges of unauthorized access to police files on five occasions between January and September 2022.
Further allegations include attempting to obstruct justice by concealing her iPhone from authorities, falsely reporting it lost and damaged, and subsequently destroying the device following a police search of her residence. A trial date has been scheduled for March 27, 2028.
Judge Nicholas Rimmer informed Harrison-Aziz of the trial date, expressing regret for the extended timeline due to court schedules. Eugene Nunoo, 30, from Eastbourne, East Sussex, also pleaded not guilty to a charge of influencing Harrison-Aziz’s misuse of police powers. Nunoo appeared at the court via video link on a separate occasion.
