James Argent is set to move to Spain, according to his friend Elliott Wright, who owns a restaurant in the area. The former TOWIE star, 38, was recently given the go-ahead to attend a domestic violence course following an incident with his ex-girlfriend in the UK. It has now been revealed that Argent will be relocating to the Costa del Sol, where he previously faced legal consequences for an assault on model Nicole Artursson.
Elliott, also a former TOWIE cast member, shared the news while explaining his decision to retain ownership of his restaurant Olivia’s La Cala in Cala de Mijas, near Marbella, instead of selling it to return to the UK to be closer to his older children. He initially planned to auction the restaurant after spending 25 years in Spain, but ultimately decided to stay and embark on a new chapter.
In a recent update, Elliott announced that he would not be selling Olivia’s and is looking forward to a successful 2026 season. He also mentioned that James Argent, known for his performances at the restaurant, will be joining him in Spain and taking on additional responsibilities.
Argent, who had admitted to his offense at a court in Fuengirola, was sentenced to attend a gender violence rehabilitation course as part of his legal consequences. Originally expected to attend in person, it has been reported that Argent successfully appealed to have the sessions conducted online, allowing him to stay in the UK.
The decision to grant this request has sparked some controversy, with critics questioning the leniency shown towards Argent. However, it has been clarified that the authorities considered his non-residency in Spain when making their decision.
