Thousands of users of ChatGPT are facing issues with the AI application today due to a global outage. Users across different countries, including the UK, US, India, Japan, and Australia, are encountering difficulties logging in and sending messages.
OpenAI has acknowledged the problems and stated that they are currently dealing with service disruptions affecting ChatGPT and Codex. The company is actively investigating the root cause of the issue.
Reports of OpenAI service problems have been logged by users in various cities in the UK, with a significant number of complaints originating from London, Birmingham, Liverpool, Manchester, and Southampton.
Amid these challenges, one ChatGPT user humorously mentioned resorting to using their own brain for email composition as the AI tool remains unresponsive. More than 3,000 OpenAI users in the UK have reported issues with AI services today, with the majority, 79%, being ChatGPT users, as reported by DownDetector.
Additionally, 9% of users are experiencing difficulties with the OpenAI app, while 8% have encountered problems with Codex. The disruption has caused a notable impact on users relying on these AI services.
