Gordon Ramsay has expressed his worries for his daughter Tilly as she ventures into the competitive culinary world. Tilly, aged 24, is aspiring to carve out a career as a chef, following in the footsteps of her renowned father. Ramsay shared his mixed emotions of pride and concern as he sees Tilly entering an industry known for its challenges.
In a recent interview with Bella magazine, the acclaimed chef reminisced about witnessing Tilly don her chef attire for the first time and the significance of the moment as a father.
Ramsay reflected on the experience, stating, “Oh my God, yes. I was a hot mess seeing her in her first chef whites. It was incredible, seeing this mini-me ready to take on the world. I’m blessed, but also concerned as I know the challenges she will face. But she’s amazing.”
Tilly’s journey has unfolded publicly, with an upcoming Netflix documentary, “Being Gordon Ramsay,” offering an intimate look into the Ramsay family life. The six-part series delves into the chef’s professional endeavors and personal dynamics.
The documentary follows Ramsay, now 59, as he embarks on a significant project of launching five restaurants within 22 Bishopsgate, one of London’s tallest buildings. Filmed over six months, the series captures the intricacies of managing a major hospitality venture while balancing family commitments.
Viewers will gain exclusive access to Ramsay’s daily routines, from pivotal business decisions to quieter moments at home with his wife Tana and their six children. Tana also shared her thoughts on capturing meaningful moments as Tilly follows her father’s path, emphasizing the magic of documenting family experiences.
The documentary release coincides with another family milestone, Holly’s highly publicized wedding to Olympic swimmer Adam Peaty. However, reports of a family discord surfaced, particularly regarding Peaty’s mother not being invited to the pre-wedding celebrations.
Ramsay addressed the situation, expressing disappointment over the alleged feud and affirming that they had extended a warm welcome to Peaty’s family. Despite the rift, Ramsay remains hopeful for reconciliation, acknowledging the importance of the newlyweds moving forward with their lives.
The new docuseries will premiere on Netflix on February 18.
