Emmerdale icon Graham Foster wasted no time reconnecting with his roots in the village after his surprising comeback in January. Fans remember the beloved character, played by Andrew Scarborough, who was thought to have died in 2020 before making a dramatic return during a crossover with Coronation Street.
Graham’s reappearance is intertwined with the mysterious arrival of Weatherfield’s Jodie Ramsey, portrayed by Olivia Frances-Brown, who is the estranged sister of Shona Platt, played by Julia Goulding. His return shocked Joe Tate, played by Ned Porteous, as he discovered his mentor alive and living with him at Home Farm. Graham has also been trying to rekindle his relationship with Rhona Goskirk, played by Zoe Henry, while also engaging in a romance with Kim Tate, played by Claire King.
In a surprising development, viewers are witnessing a softer side of Graham as he mentors troubled teen Kyle Winchester, portrayed by Huey Quinn, following his father Cain’s battle with prostate cancer. Andrew Scarborough, reflecting on his return, expressed his unexpectedness at coming back to the ITV soap, stating that he had always considered the possibility of Graham’s return.
Regarding keeping his return a secret, Andrew, 52, shared that it was challenging to keep it from his family. He admitted to only informing a select few individuals, including some cousins who reached out to him after the reveal. Among his family members is his sister, Victoria Scarborough, an accomplished actress known for her roles in various TV shows and films.
Victoria, 59, has appeared in well-known productions such as The Grand, The Cinder Path, and Charlotte Gray. She has also made notable appearances in popular TV series like The Royal, Birds of a Feather, and Heartbeat. Additionally, Victoria has ventured into writing and directing, with credits including the short films Hysteria and Speed Date.
Emmerdale airs on ITV and ITVX on weekdays.
