Graham’s Family Dairy has initiated a recall of semi-skimmed milk available in 1-liter, 2-liter, and 1-pint containers with an expiry date of July 31, 2026, specifically for consumers in England.

As Scotland’s primary independent dairy enterprise, Graham’s Family Dairy distributes milk, butter, yogurts, ice cream, and assorted dairy products to retail outlets and supermarkets throughout the United Kingdom.

The family-operated business has issued a recall notice for the affected items and expressed regrets to its customers. The notice emphasizes the company’s dedication to product quality and consumer safety.

The recall pertains to the following products: one-pint semi-skimmed milk with a use-by date of July 31, one-liter semi-skimmed milk with a use-by date of July 31, and two-liter semi-skimmed milk with a use-by date of July 31.

This precautionary action was taken due to the potential presence of trace levels of antibiotics in the milk that could trigger adverse reactions in individuals allergic to antibiotics.

Customers who have purchased these products are urged not to consume them but to return them to the point of purchase for a refund. The company assures customers that no other Grahams Family Dairy products or use-by dates are affected by this issue.

The Food Standards Agency has confirmed that the contaminated milk is unsafe for consumption, particularly for individuals with penicillin allergies, as it may pose health risks.

Consumers are advised not to consume the aforementioned product and instead return it to the retailer for a full refund.
