A woman tragically lost her life in a car accident on the A55 near Conwy, north Wales. Jennifer Anne Brown, a grandmother in her 40s known for her caring nature and bright smile, was one of four individuals in the car involved in a collision with a lorry.

Following the incident, two people sustained serious injuries and were airlifted to hospitals in Stoke and Aintree, while another individual was taken by ambulance to Aintree for treatment. Jennifer, a long-time employee at Glan Rhos Nursing Home on Anglesey, was affectionately called “Queen” by her colleagues.

Described as a devoted mother and grandmother, Jennifer was deeply proud of her family. Her colleagues at the nursing home expressed profound sadness over her passing, highlighting her warm personality and dedication to her work. North Wales Police responded to the scene of the accident at junction 17 westbound in Conwy Morfa.

The road closures were necessary, and air ambulances were dispatched to the location. The driver of the heavy goods vehicle involved in the collision is cooperating with the police investigation. Authorities extended their condolences to Jennifer’s family and urged any witnesses or individuals with dashcam footage to come forward.

The road closure on the westbound carriageway has been partially lifted to allow some traffic flow, with ongoing investigations by the North Wales Police Serious Collision Investigation Unit at the scene. Chief Inspector Trystan Bevan offered his deepest sympathies to the family and emphasized the importance of any relevant information from witnesses or footage.
