Shabana Mahmood, the Home Secretary and MP for Birmingham, Ladywood, has gained attention not just for her political role but for her surprising hobby of weightlifting. Raised in Birmingham to Pakistani parents, Shabana, a former barrister, has a deep connection to her roots in Mirpur, Azad Kashmir.
