A human torso was found abandoned near a popular vacation spot in Spain, discovered along a roadside close to Pinos de Alhaurín quarry area, on the outskirts of Alhaurín de la Torre, yesterday morning.

Located near Malaga on Costa del Sol, the town draws numerous British tourists annually.

Following the discovery, an investigation was initiated, leading to the arrest of a suspect by the Civil Guard, as reported by Malaga Hoy. The identification process faces challenges due to only the torso being recovered.

Forensic analysis of the remains is underway at the Institute of Legal Medicine in Malaga to determine the cause of death and the victim’s identity. Investigators are exploring various scenarios, including accidental death and potential foul play.

Spanish authorities have not disclosed further details such as the gender or age of the deceased, keeping the investigation ongoing.

Alhaurín de la Torre is situated near popular coastal destinations for British tourists and expatriates like Torremolinos, Benalmádena, and Fuengirola.
