The daughter of infamous criminal Ian Huntley has made a resolute decision regarding his funeral, expressing a strong desire to have no part in any arrangements following his recent death. Samantha Bryan, Huntley’s daughter, was approached by the authorities after Huntley passed away in a hospital from injuries sustained during an assault. In a bold statement, Samantha emphasized her complete disassociation from her father, stating that she had no involvement with him in life and wishes to maintain that distance in death as well.

Huntley, known as the Soham murderer, gained notoriety for the brutal killings of Jessica Chapman and Holly Wells in 2002. His actions shocked the nation and prompted significant changes in child protection protocols. Sentenced to life imprisonment with a minimum term of 40 years, Huntley faced ongoing threats from fellow inmates due to the heinous nature of his crimes.

The 52-year-old met a violent end earlier this month at HMP Frankland in Durham, a facility housing some of the country’s most dangerous criminals. Samantha, who had never met her father, was asked by the police to handle his funeral arrangements as his biological daughter.
