Newly released footage reveals a confrontation between Renee Good and an ICE agent, where she was shot three times after attempting to maneuver her car around him. The video, filmed by the agent, captures the moments leading up to the incident from his perspective.
In the footage, Good’s car is depicted partially blocking the road as the agent exits his vehicle and walks around her car, recording her face and license plate. Good remains calm during the encounter, stating, “That’s fine, dude. I’m not mad at you,” while another individual, likely her partner, films the officer.
Good asserts her rights, mentioning that their license plates do not change daily and identifies herself as a US citizen and a former Navy veteran. As the situation unfolds, Good is shown reversing her car to allow other vehicles to pass by.
Despite the officer’s demands for her to exit the vehicle, Good steers her car to the right to drive around him. The officer fires three shots as her car accelerates towards parked vehicles, uttering derogatory language towards her.
The footage, released by online news site Alpha News, challenges the narrative presented by the White House, providing context to the events. It indicates that Good was obstructing ICE agents’ work but without displaying aggression.
Importantly, the video demonstrates that Good was not purposefully trying to harm the officer but was attempting to maneuver her car around him. Shortly after the footage’s release, US Vice President JD Vance claimed it supported his assertion that Good intended to injure the officer, criticizing the media for misrepresenting the incident.
