Iran Halts Oil Transit Through Strait of Hormuz Amid US Attacks

Published on

Iran has declared that no oil or gas will be allowed to pass through the Strait of Hormuz until the United States stops what they term as “criminal” attacks. This statement follows continued airstrikes by Donald Trump’s forces on Iran, with the Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps asserting that exports from the region will cease until US aggressions halt. Despite claims of mine explosions by Iran, the US Central Command has denied these allegations.

Recent strikes targeted military infrastructure, including surveillance and weapons storage facilities, as well as causing damage to civilian structures in Jask. The US Central Command released footage showing missile launches and airstrikes, emphasizing the readiness of American forces in the region. Additionally, the US plans to enforce a naval blockade on Iranian ports.

Tensions escalated as Iran responded to the attacks by firing missiles and launching drones at various countries in the Middle East, leading to reports of explosions in several regions. The conflict has resulted in significant casualties, with at least 50 reported deaths in recent US strikes. Iran has suspended its commitments to a previous ceasefire agreement with the US, while President Trump has vowed to intensify attacks if negotiations fail.

The situation remains volatile, with both sides showing no signs of backing down. The ongoing conflict, which began over four months ago, shows no immediate resolution in sight as both Iran and the US remain steadfast in their positions.
