Israel’s latest update on the conflict with Iran reveals significant developments. Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu asserted that Iran’s ability to enrich uranium and manufacture ballistic missiles has been eradicated. This announcement comes after approximately three weeks of ongoing hostilities.
Netanyahu declared that Iran has been severely weakened, confidently stating, “We are prevailing.” He emphasized the successful degradation of Iran’s missile and drone capabilities, highlighting that the country is now incapable of enriching uranium for nuclear weapons or conducting devastating attacks.
The Prime Minister claimed that Israel is targeting the production facilities responsible for manufacturing missile components and nuclear weaponry. However, he did not provide any evidence to support his assertions.
In a veiled reference to potential military actions, Netanyahu hinted at the prospect of a ground invasion. Speculations arose about Donald Trump’s contemplation of strategies to control or blockade Iran’s Kharg Island, though Netanyahu did not elaborate on the details.
Responding to accusations of involving the United States in the conflict, Netanyahu denied any attempts to influence President Trump’s decisions, stating, “Does anyone truly believe they can dictate to President Trump?”
Meanwhile, Iran issued threats to target global recreational and tourist sites while reaffirming its commitment to missile development. Gen. Abolfazl Shekarchi cautioned that leisure areas worldwide may face risks from Tehran’s adversaries, raising concerns about potential international militant activities.
Additionally, Iran’s Supreme Leader, Mojtaba Khamenei, praised the Iranian populace for their resilience in the face of adversity. He criticized the US and Israel for their misguided attacks and lauded Iranians for uniting against external threats, causing confusion among the enemy.
Recent reports suggest that Khamenei has not made public appearances since assuming leadership after the assassination of his father, Ayatollah Ali Khamenei, during Israeli strikes at the conflict’s onset. US and Israeli officials suspect that the younger Khamenei may have sustained injuries during the attacks.
