Describing the LFA as a car he still dreams of owning, Clarkson highlighted the unique sound of its engine, likening it to a “wounded bear” and emphasizing the sheer joy it brings.

Having previously labeled the Lexus LFA as the best car he has ever driven due to its mesmerizing V10 engine sound, Clarkson pointed out its flaws while emphasizing the emotional impact of its noise, a feature he feels is lacking in electric cars. In a conversation with car reviewer Harry Metcalfe, Clarkson discussed his reservations about electric vehicles, citing the absence of engine noise as a significant factor that diminishes his enthusiasm for them.
