Lindsay Lohan’s stepmother, Kate Major, was recently arrested in Harris County, Texas, for allegedly assaulting her ex-husband, Michael Lohan. Kate, 42, faces charges of assault of a family member with a previous conviction. This incident occurred while Michael, Lindsay Lohan’s father, was visiting Kate’s home to exchange their two children, Landon and Logan.
According to court records, Kate was taken into custody on April 14 for assaulting a family member with a prior conviction. Her bond was set at $35,000, and she is scheduled to appear in court for arraignment on April 16.
An insider revealed that Kate, allegedly under the influence, physically attacked Michael by punching him in the face and throwing a knife at him during their encounter. Fortunately, the knife did not harm Michael as it bounced off his chest. Following her arrest, the judge ordered Kate to refrain from contacting Michael and to undergo alcohol testing.
Married in 2014, Michael and Kate’s relationship faced turbulence, leading to legal separation after just a year. In a separate incident, Michael was sentenced to nine months in prison in April 2025 for violating parole by reportedly assaulting Kate. Despite Kate accusing Michael of domestic abuse, those charges were later dropped by the district attorney.
In a past altercation in 2020, Michael was accused of choking Kate, which he denied. The incident occurred the day after Kate’s arrest for suspected drunk driving. Kate allegedly called the police, claiming that Michael attacked her in retaliation for reporting her intoxicated driving. Notably, Kate’s breath test revealed a blood alcohol content well above the legal limit.
Michael Lohan, known as Lindsay Lohan’s father, has had a turbulent history with Kate and legal issues.
