Katie Price Opens Up About Trust and Autonomy

Published on

Katie Price has acknowledged that she struggles with trusting people more these days, yet she also finds it challenging to alter her ways. The 48-year-old former model and celebrity has navigated a tumultuous life marked by multiple marriages, relationships with well-known figures, and substantial earnings as a glamour model in her youth.

Currently married to the controversial Lee Andrews, Katie shared insights into her life, stating, “I don’t believe anyone can change me. I frequently tell my mother, ‘I’m 48. I won’t change. I am who I am. Just accept it.’ She questions my actions, to which I respond, ‘Mom, let me be myself.’”

She emphasized the limited circle of trust she maintains, expressing contentment with her current relationships without the need for additional friendships. Katie is actively promoting her new four-part Sky documentary, where she delves into her four marriages, nine engagements, and her personal and professional journey. The documentary features interviews with her ex-partners, including Dane Bowers and Gareth Gates, recounting memorable experiences and wild escapades.

Katie emphasized her desire for autonomy and control in her life, asserting, “I am in charge of everything. Nobody dictates my actions. While I still have rebellious moments, that’s just who I am. My life remains dynamic and unpredictable, and I embrace the excitement it brings.”

Since her emergence as the persona ‘Jordan’ in 1996, Katie has been a highly photographed figure, with her life unfolding across various media platforms over the past three decades. From lucrative contracts and motherhood to scandals, bankruptcy, and cosmetic procedures, her life has been a mix of highs and lows.

Reflecting on her journey, Katie acknowledged the fun she has experienced over the years but also highlighted the challenges that have taken a toll on her mental well-being. Despite the public chaos, she revealed her preference for tranquility during her private moments away from the spotlight, enjoying simple activities like cooking, watching TV, and spending time with family.

Katie Price’s upcoming documentary series, “Katie Price: Nothing to Hide,” a four-part Sky Original, is set to premiere on Sky and the streaming service NOW on July 8.
