Katie Price, known for her emotional nature, fondly reminisced about her time meeting Peter Andre in the I’m A Celebrity jungle, calling it the highlight of her life. The 48-year-old former glamour model reflects on her three decades in the public eye in a new documentary series on Sky TV.
During the documentary, director Paddy Wivell presents Katie with an iPad to watch her interactions with Peter Andre in the Australian camp back in 2004, where they first met and flirted with each other.
Reflecting on the footage, Katie admits to getting shy and giddy when she likes someone, like she did with Andre. Her brother Daniel, who observed the show from home, describes her infatuation with Peter as evident through her mesmerized and smitten behavior.
Katie confesses that by the end of their time together, she was completely taken with Peter, believing that meeting and being with him were the happiest moments of her life. Their initial perfect romance led to marriage in 2005, and they welcomed children Junior and Princess. The couple even starred in their own reality show on ITV.
However, cracks began to surface, leading to their split in 2009 and a subsequent public feud. Katie’s mother expressed concerns about the relationship from the start, anticipating the intense infatuation Katie displayed for Peter.
The revelations from the documentary’s second episode hint at further insights into their breakup, to be explored in upcoming episodes not yet available for media previews.
The full series is set to release on July 8, allowing fans to binge-watch all four episodes on Sky. Katie introduced the series at the Sheffield Documentary festival, calling it a fresh start for her career.
Despite currently being married to Lee Andrews, Katie hinted at the possibility of marrying again in the future, pondering on how she might evolve over the next two decades in terms of relationships and personal growth.
