Lee Andrews’ father has reported that his son is in custody in Dubai following his sudden disappearance, leaving his wife Katie Price distraught. The self-proclaimed millionaire has been missing for more than a week, backing out of a scheduled interview on Good Morning Britain with Katie at the last minute and failing to travel to the UK.
In a recent statement, Lee’s father, Pete, who is currently in Dubai to provide support, disclosed that his son has been detained by UAE authorities. Pete mentioned that while Lee is safe and not a victim of abduction, he is under arrest. The exact charges are unknown, and Pete is awaiting a call from Lee for further details.
According to Pete, Lee had been residing with him before getting involved with Katie earlier this year. Dubai Police Brigadier Khalid Khalifa al Avadhi confirmed that there are multiple legal cases pending against Lee.
After their rapid marriage, Katie experienced distress when Lee abruptly ceased communication. She later shared that Lee had contacted her via FaceTime, claiming he was restrained and forced into a van. Additionally, Lee’s Instagram account began following a woman named Mari Sol, who is the only person, besides Katie, that Lee follows on the platform.
Katie revealed the last text messages she received from Lee’s phone, indicating his arrest. Andrews’ family had lodged a missing persons report at the British Embassy in Dubai, while Katie expressed her decision to distance herself from the unfolding situation for her own well-being.
“I’m stepping back,” Katie stated on her podcast, emphasizing the need to prioritize her mental health. Lee’s failure to reach out to Katie on her birthday further added to her emotional turmoil.
