Katie Price has refuted claims made by her husband Lee Andrews’ father regarding Lee’s alleged arrest. Lee, a 43-year-old businessman, has been out of contact with Katie, 48, for over a week, sparking concerns about his well-being.
Initially, there were fears of a possible kidnapping as Lee was supposed to be heading to the UK to be with Katie. However, despite a missing persons report being filed, his whereabouts remain unknown.
In an attempt to shed light on the situation, Lee’s father Pete stated that Lee was not kidnapped but rather under arrest. Pete mentioned that although he was unsure of the charges against Lee or his current location, he expected Lee to contact him later.
Dubai Police Brigadier Khalid Khalifa al Avadhi confirmed that there are multiple cases against Lee. Pete’s revelations followed Lee’s recent stay with his father before getting involved with Katie earlier this year, a claim that Katie dismissed as “fake news.”
Taking to Instagram, Katie clarified that Lee was still missing and that she, along with Lee’s family, was cooperating with the authorities. Their marriage, which began just days after meeting in person in January, has faced intense scrutiny, especially after Lee stopped communicating with Katie unexpectedly.
Despite a FaceTime call from Lee where he mentioned being restrained and forced into a van, the mystery surrounding his situation persisted. Katie disclosed the last text messages she received from Lee’s phone, one of which indicated his arrest.
As the family filed a missing persons report at the British Embassy in Dubai, Katie expressed her decision to step back from the ongoing uncertainty for her own well-being. She emphasized the importance of self-care and mentioned her plans to focus on upcoming projects amidst the uncertainties surrounding Lee’s situation.
The confusion deepened when Lee’s Instagram account appeared to follow a woman, only to have the count fluctuate and the woman reportedly block his account later on.
