The historical drama series “Upstairs Downstairs” has gained popularity on Netflix, securing a spot in the UK Top 10 streaming list. Originally aired on BBC in 2010, the show, created by Heidi Thomas of “Call the Midwife,” continues the story from the 1970s series, picking up six years later.

In the series, Hawes takes on the role of Lady Agnes Holland, the new owner of 165 Eaton Place. Fans are keen to learn more about the 50-year-old actress, known for her previous role in “Spooks” as Zoe Reynolds. Hawes first caught the public’s eye in the 1990s with appearances in shows like “Heartbeat” and “Our Mutual Friend.”

Hawes married cartoonist Spencer McCallum in December 2001, with whom she shares a son named Myles. Following their separation, reports suggested a connection between her departure and her current husband. Despite the speculation, Hawes has stated that she and McCallum remain on good terms.

She later tied the knot with Matthew Macfadyen, her co-star from “Spooks,” in November 2004. The couple has a son and a daughter together. Macfadyen, known for his role as Mr. Darcy in the 2005 film adaptation of “Pride & Prejudice,” is also recognized for his work in “Succession” and “Spooks.”
