The 45-year-old celebrity recounted the distressing incident in her latest column for new! magazine, where she disclosed receiving morphine from paramedics before being transported to the medical facility. Kerry documented her hospital visit by posting a brief video on her Instagram story during the early hours of Friday morning.

During her hospital stay, Kerry was situated in a makeshift bed in the hospital corridor, with a nurses’ station visible nearby. She described her situation, stating, “Hi guys, it’s 2.10 in the morning, and I have been in the hospital since yesterday morning.” Displaying an intravenous cannula in her arm, she revealed her proximity to the nurses’ station, mentioning, “It’s very crowded, so unfortunately, I’m on a bed in the hall.” Explaining her condition, she shared, “I have been diagnosed with colitis, a bowel-related issue. It’s been challenging; I haven’t slept since yesterday.”

Further elaborating on her hospitalization, Kerry penned in her magazine column, “I was rushed to the hospital in an ambulance towards the end of the week. The pain was so intense that I was screaming, prompting the paramedics to administer morphine immediately.” She candidly admitted to dealing with colitis, expressing, “It hasn’t been easy! I spent a day and a night in a hallway bed before finally getting a room due to the hospital’s high occupancy. It was surprising to learn that most hospitals are currently facing similar overcrowding issues.”

Following an extended wait, Kerry eventually secured a room at the hospital. In a subsequent Instagram story update from her hospital bed on Friday afternoon, she thanked her well-wishers and shared her relief at no longer being stationed in the corridor. Despite feeling drained and sleep-deprived, she expressed a desire to return home while acknowledging the challenges of her hospital stay. Kerry highlighted the overcrowded conditions at the hospital, remarking on the poignant sight of elderly patients occupying beds in the corridors, a situation she found herself in as well.
