A reported ground invasion has been initiated in Iran, according to recent developments.

As per a US official speaking to Fox News, thousands of Iraqi Kurds have commenced a ground offensive within Iran. Additionally, Kurdish officials informed i24NEWS that Kurdish forces were advancing from the Iraq-Iran border region.

This action follows reports from CNN indicating that the CIA was actively supporting Kurdish forces to incite a popular uprising in Iran.

Allegedly, the US and Israel have been clandestinely supplying weapons to Kurdish volunteers since the previous year in anticipation of an armed insurrection. Between four to seven US-Israeli helicopters purportedly carried out an airdrop in the Najaf desert, Iraq, on Wednesday.

An official from the Coalition of Political Forces of Iranian Kurdistan (CPFIK) asserted that fighters have positioned themselves around the southern mountains of Mariwan in western Iran.

The CPFIK official disclosed to i24News that Kurdish forces had commenced ground military movements against Iran starting from midnight on March 2. According to the official, Iranian forces vacated the border city of Mariwan on March 3 and fortified defensive positions.

Recent reports from Israel suggest that Kurdish forces have clashed with their Iranian counterparts.

Israeli authorities have verified the engagement between Kurdish and Iranian forces.
