“Legal Battle Over Virginia Giuffre’s Estate Intensifies”

Published on

The former husband and daughter of the late Virginia Giuffre, a key figure in the Jeffrey Epstein scandal, have been officially included in the legal proceedings regarding her estate. Following her tragic death last year, a dispute has arisen over the inheritance of her substantial wealth, which includes a reported £12 million payment from Prince Andrew. The exact amount remaining and the portion spent on legal fees are still uncertain.

In a recent ruling by Supreme Court Justice Natalie Whitby, Robert Giuffre and the unnamed minor daughter have been added to the legal case along with Giuffre’s adult sons. The decision came after Registrar Danielle Davies highlighted the need to involve the deceased’s husband in the proceedings due to the absence of a formal will. Initially, Giuffre’s sons sought to be appointed as administrators of the estate, but their claim was challenged by Karrie Louden and Cheryl Myers, who argue that Giuffre left informal instructions regarding the estate.

A hearing earlier this year addressed the inclusion of the estranged husband and daughter in the legal process, with the appointment of an independent guardian for the minor to avoid conflicts of interest. The recent orders from Judge Whitby now designate the husband and daughter as defendants in addition to the sons. The case is scheduled for a court conference in Perth on July 3rd.

The dispute revolves around whether Giuffre’s informal instructions should be recognized as a valid will under Western Australia succession law. Legal documents filed by the sons suggest that the deceased did not intend for those instructions to serve as her official will. Louden and Myers base their counterclaim on alleged wording by Giuffre herself, appointing them as executors and trustees.

Virginia Giuffre passed away in April last year without a signed will at her property near Perth. Her estate’s total value remains undetermined, given her multiple civil settlements related to allegations of sex trafficking by Epstein, including the significant settlement from Prince Andrew. The former Prince has consistently denied the allegations against him.

Moreover, Buckingham Palace faces mounting pressure following revelations that emails from six years ago indicated Prince Andrew had shared confidential information during his time as a trade envoy. Calls for an inquiry into his tenure and connections to Epstein have escalated, with demands for public scrutiny and a review of the Royal Household’s practices. The palace has refrained from commenting due to an ongoing police investigation into Prince Andrew.
