“Loch’s Capsule Dishwashers: Space-Saving Solution”

Published on

Space-efficient, plumbing-free appliances are gaining popularity, especially among individuals residing in small apartments and rental spaces where installing permanent fixtures is not feasible. Loch, a Scottish independent brand, has established itself in this niche market with its Capsule countertop dishwashers, providing a practical solution for dishwashing without taking up valuable countertop space.

The company has recently reduced prices for its entire product range, offering a £50 discount on both the Capsule and Capsule Solo models, which Loch claims are the most energy-efficient compact dishwashers available today. While both models offer similar cleaning performance, they cater to slightly different needs.

The original Capsule dishwasher, now priced at £339.99 from £399.99, is the more comprehensive option, featuring an independent water tank and the option to connect to plumbing if desired. It includes rinse aid, UV light sanitation, and ten wash programs, making it suitable for those seeking customized washing options or a more permanent kitchen setup. Additionally, it can accommodate up to 35 items, such as large plates and frying pans, despite its compact 26cm width.

A notable feature of the dishwasher is its quiet operation at 57 dB, comparable to a low-noise washing machine and quieter than most vacuum cleaners. It also comes with an integrated carry handle and an optional travel bag for easy transportation. On the other hand, the Capsule Solo, priced at £297.49 from £349.99, offers identical performance and efficiency but is designed specifically for non-plumbed use, making it a more straightforward and budget-friendly choice.

With a quick wash cycle consuming only 2.6 liters, Loch claims this dishwasher is significantly more economical than handwashing, costing approximately £10 annually for typical two-person use. Its compact dimensions of 46cm in height, 26cm in width, and 50cm in depth make it one of the narrowest dishwashers on the market.

Both models are versatile and can be placed on a countertop, in a base unit, or moved between rooms easily. They feature detachable trays, filters, and baskets for easy maintenance. For those looking for more affordable options, Argos offers the Bush Slimline Dishwasher for £259, while the eklipt Table Top Dishwasher is available on Amazon for £209.99.

Customers have expressed satisfaction with the Capsule dishwashers, praising their compact design and efficiency. While some users noted minor drawbacks related to capacity, the majority found the appliances to be highly functional and convenient for daily use.
