Thousands of demonstrators gathered in central London to mark Pride today. The yearly event, hailed as “a significant LGBTQIA+ festivity that turns the Capital into a platform for visibility,” showcased complimentary shows, notable speakers, and live music spread across six key central London sectors.
In addition to the activists, numerous famous personalities were seen in Soho, Leicester Square, and Trafalgar Square. Mayor of London Sadiq Khan shared in a statement that, “Pride embodies both celebration and advocacy. Today, we commemorate the strides we have taken, while renewing our dedication to the pursuit of equality. In an era where rights and depiction must not be presumed, London stands united with its LGBTQIA+ communities.”
