JPMorgan Chase executive, Lorna Hajdini, who was falsely accused of inappropriate behavior by a former employee, has filed a defamation lawsuit against him. The lawsuit, submitted to the New York State Supreme Court, alleges that the ex-employee orchestrated a malicious campaign over several months to tarnish Hajdini’s reputation and extort money from her.
Hajdini vehemently denies all the allegations made against her, stating that they are entirely fabricated for personal gain at her expense. Her legal team criticized the ex-employee for spreading lies about her being racist and a sexual predator in an attempt to defame her and extract money from both her and JPMorgan.
The lawsuit also highlights that the same individual had previously fabricated similar claims of sexual misconduct at a prior workplace. Hajdini aims to clear her name, mitigate the damage caused by the false accusations, and hold the ex-employee accountable for his deceitful actions.
After an internal investigation found no evidence to support the former employee’s harassment claims, he allegedly sought a substantial payout to leave the company. Hajdini’s supporters have denounced his actions as a complete fabrication aimed at tarnishing her reputation. JPMorgan has expressed full support for Hajdini and refuted the validity of the allegations made against her and the firm.
