“Louis Tomlinson Fans Receive Safety Advisory for UK Tour Stop”

Published on

Louis Tomlinson enthusiasts have received a cautionary note ahead of his inaugural UK tour stop. The singer is gearing up for the UK segment of his How Did We Get Here? global tour, commencing today at Manchester’s Co-op Live.

Hailing from Doncaster, Louis is showcasing songs from his most recent solo album, How Did I Get Here?, which achieved his second solo album to reach Number One. However, prior to his performance at the largest indoor arena in Europe, fans of the 34-year-old have been alerted with a safety advisory.

Louis has chosen a standing floor setup for his tour, a setup that often leads fans to queue outside the venue for extended periods in hopes of securing a prime spot in the front row. Ahead of tonight’s spectacle, Co-op Live has issued guidance to ensure fans experience a “comfortable” concert.

The venue stated, “To guarantee a fair and pleasant concert experience for fans desiring early entry, a wristband system with random allocations will be in effect for Louis Tomlinson’s concert at Co-op Live. This arrangement is exclusively for standing ticket holders who aim to access Co-op Live first.

“Attendees are not allowed to arrive at the venue before noon on the show day. Between 12:00 and 14:00: Those seeking early entry must show up at Entrance C at Co-op Live during the specified times and will be furnished with a randomly assigned numbered wristband. These wristbands will determine your place in the queue and permit you to exit the area and return to your designated position. First-entry wristbands will be in limited supply.

“Upon arrival, fans must display valid standing tickets for scanning, allowing one queue wristband per person. Between 16:00 and 17:00: For those with first-entry wristbands, please return to the venue during this time frame and rejoin the queue at the assigned spot as directed by staff. Subsequently, doors will open for general admission. The wristbands will be categorized by different colors to indicate the appropriate lane for re-entry.”

Nonetheless, Co-op Live is not the sole venue implementing such a system. The show at Leeds’ First Direct Arena on April 27 will also distribute wristbands between 11 a.m. and 2 p.m. These wristbands will be distributed randomly in batches, with fans instructed to return later and queue in a dedicated line corresponding to their wristband.

Birmingham’s Utilita Arena has also issued a precaution before Louis’ performances, as well as for fans attending Alex Warren’s show at the venue. Alex is scheduled to perform tonight, followed by Louis tomorrow.

In a social media announcement, the venue advised against overnight camping and clarified that individuals attempting to do so will be escorted out by security. They also confirmed the implementation of a wristband system for Louis’ show.

The venue stated, “We eagerly anticipate hosting fans at upcoming shows, including Yungblud, Alex Warren, and Louis Tomlinson. We kindly remind fans that overnight queuing and camping are against venue regulations.

“Anyone trying to camp or queue before the event day will be asked to leave by venue security. For attendees of Louis Tomlinson’s performance on Saturday, April 25, a wristband queue system will be in operation as per the artist’s team’s request. Specific details can be found on the event page.

“Please be aware that unofficial fan-run numbering systems will not be recognized. We appreciate your cooperation in ensuring the safety of all attendees and facilitating fair access for all fans.”
