Popstar Louise Redknapp has shared her concerns about her two sons facing a significant change in their lives. The 51-year-old singer, who shares Charley, 22, and Beau, 17, with her ex-husband Jamie Redknapp, spoke about the possibility of an empty nest.
During an interview with Sara Cox on BBC Radio 2, Louise expressed her reluctance for her children to leave home, especially with Charley’s girlfriend, Mia, frequently staying over. She jokingly mentioned feeling like she gained an additional child with Mia’s presence.
Sara, who has three children aged 22, 18, and 16, echoed Louise’s sentiments, describing the house as “a bit boring” when the kids are not around.
Louise, who married Jamie in 1998 and separated in 2017, took a break from her career to focus on raising their children. However, her participation in Strictly Come Dancing reignited her passion for performing. Reflecting on her experience on the show, Louise expressed gratitude for the opportunity it provided to rekindle her love for singing and performing.
After a hiatus of two decades, Louise released her fourth studio album, Heavy Love, following her third album, Elbow Beach. She credited her time on Strictly for giving her the motivation to return to her musical career.
In a previous podcast interview, Louise shared that her initial intention for joining Strictly was not to kickstart her career but to engage in a fulfilling project while staying active and fit.
