An influencer associated with the political movement known as MAGA in the United States has confessed to physically assaulting a woman at a Tube station following an altercation involving a pushchair. Melissa Rein Lively, aged 40, reportedly grabbed the woman’s hair forcefully at Bond Street Underground station in October last year, after her boyfriend accidentally bumped into a pushchair carrying a child.
Lively agreed to a conditional caution and the charge of assault by beating against her was dropped, as revealed in Westminster Magistrates’ Court. Her partner, Philipp Ostermann, who was present during the incident, denied two charges of racially aggravated public order offenses and an additional public order offense. Ostermann was granted conditional bail pending further legal proceedings.
During the court hearing, Prosecutor Lyndon Harris informed that Lively had accepted a conditional caution in response to the allegations, admitting to the conduct and acknowledging it as an offense. Additionally, she agreed to pay £910 in compensation as part of the resolution.
