A court hearing revealed that a man, identified as Alex Jenkinson, allegedly caused distress to Andrew Mountbatten-Windsor while he was walking his dogs near Marsh Farm on the Sandringham Estate. The former prince reportedly sought refuge in his car with his security team during the incident. Originally set for trial at Westminster magistrates court, the case was rescheduled for December 21 by Chief Magistrate Paul Goldspring.

Jenkinson is scheduled to stand trial on December 21, with Mountbatten-Windsor expected to provide testimony via video link. The court discussed the admissibility of internet search evidence from Jenkinson’s phone, including terms like “Andrew’s Norfolk Security” and “Prince Andrew birthday.” The defense argued against the relevance of these searches, questioning their timing and purpose. The judge granted the prosecution time until September 15 to present the evidence for further review.

If deemed admissible, phone experts will likely testify at the trial, alongside witnesses Stephen Terry and Michael Duncan. Jenkinson, who was previously seen at Westminster magistrates court with his arm in a sling, faces charges related to alleged intimidating behavior towards Mountbatten-Windsor and another individual. Notably, he pleaded not guilty to the charges and received bail conditions prohibiting contact with Mountbatten-Windsor and entry into Norfolk.

Mountbatten-Windsor, residing in Wolferton after relinquishing his Royal Lodge residence, lost state-funded police protection following legal disputes related to Jeffrey Epstein. Despite settlement payments, he denied any misconduct. Stripped of royal titles and privileges, he now covers his security expenses independently. Chief Magistrate Paul Goldspring specified measures to prevent contact with Mountbatten-Windsor, ensuring clarity amidst legal proceedings.
