A man who used ketamine to incapacitate two women and then sexually assault them has been sentenced to 18 years in prison, described as a monster by the court.

Khamal Hussain targeted the victims in separate incidents after inviting them to his residence. Despite being under police investigation for the abuse of one victim, he proceeded to rape the second woman. The court revealed that the victims have been deeply traumatized, with one driven to the brink of suicide.

The judge praised the bravery of the victims, acknowledging that they prevented further assaults by Hussain, who was deemed a high risk to women. The first victim, who was intoxicated when lured to Hussain’s home, was unknowingly given ketamine, leading to a state of vulnerability where she was sexually abused.

The second victim, also manipulated into visiting Hussain, was similarly drugged with ketamine, rendering her unconscious while he assaulted and raped her. Hussain was found guilty of multiple charges related to the attacks.

The court highlighted Hussain’s history of violence and harassment but no prior sexual offenses. The judge sentenced him to 18 years in prison, with an extended license period, emphasizing Hussain’s predatory behavior and manipulation of the victims.

Both victims expressed the long-lasting emotional scars caused by the assaults. They were commended for their courage in pursuing justice, preventing future harm to other women. Hussain was also ordered to sign the sex offenders register for life and received restraining orders against the victims.

Despite claims of a different perspective presented by his references, Hussain’s actions were condemned by the court, recognizing the danger he poses to women.
