The ex-royal was apprehended by Norfolk Police on suspicion of public office misconduct and subsequently released pending investigation after a raid on his properties.
The emails, part of a collection of three million documents released by US authorities, indicated that two Scotland Yard officers were stationed outside Epstein’s New York townhouse to oversee a dinner gathering attended by notable personalities, including Woody Allen.
In December 2010, Epstein allegedly hosted a party for the ex-Duke, with guests such as Woody Allen, Soon-Yi Previn, and Chelsea Handler. The Times reported that Sir Mick Jagger was invited but could not attend. A message sent to Epstein the night before the event mentioned that the Duke’s protection officers, along with state security, would be present, with instructions provided for the party’s security arrangements.
Photographs of Andrew and Epstein walking together in Central Park in December 2010 surfaced, with the ex-Duke later stating in a controversial 2019 interview that he sought to sever ties with Epstein. Despite staying at the sex offender’s residence, Andrew maintained that it was merely a convenient accommodation and denied any misconduct allegations.
