“Missing Woman Found Alive in Muddy Puddle 100 Miles Away”

A woman reported missing for three days was found by two men in a muddy puddle about a hundred miles away from her home. Kathryn Woessner, 68, went missing on June 3 in Akeley, Minnesota, prompting concerns from her loved ones. Adam Sandbeck and Mike Gravalin stumbled upon her while riding their all-terrain vehicles in Minneapolis, a significant distance from her residence.

The men spotted a van parked in an isolated area and were surprised to find what they initially thought was a lifeless body partially submerged in the puddle. Upon closer inspection, they realized she was alive as she weakly called for help. Acting swiftly, they rescued Ms. Woessner, who was in critical condition, and contacted emergency services.

Following the rescue, Ms. Woessner was taken to a hospital as authorities investigate the circumstances that led the vulnerable woman to be so far from home in a remote location. Sandbeck and Gravalin shared their experience with KARE, expressing their shock at finding her and attributing the rescue to divine intervention. They emphasized the importance of rural volunteers in emergency services and acknowledged them as the true heroes in such situations.

Sandbeck recounted the incident on social media and mentioned plans to continue their original ride as a celebration of the successful rescue. The Douglas County Sheriff’s Office confirmed that Ms. Woessner was indeed the woman discovered by the two men.
