Authorities have apprehended a woman in connection with the discovery of a deceased 75-year-old male in a residence in Bolton.
Law enforcement responded to a report at Ormrod Street at approximately 8am on Friday, uncovering the man’s body. The individual was pronounced deceased at the scene, as stated by the MEN.
The 49-year-old suspect was taken into custody on suspicion of murder and is currently being held for interrogation.
The Major Incident Team of Greater Manchester Police has initiated a murder inquiry and is actively pursuing various leads to ascertain the complete circumstances surrounding the death.
While formal identification of the victim is pending, authorities have informed the next of kin, who are receiving support from specialized officers.
Detective Inspector Louise Kelly expressed condolences to the victim’s family and friends, offering ongoing support from specialized personnel during this challenging period.
