Outrage has sparked following a disturbing incident where a Muslim woman was intentionally hit by a speeding car in what onlookers suspect was a deliberate assault.
The victim, a woman in her twenties, was violently struck while attempting to enter a parked vehicle on Harrow Manorway in Abbey Wood, located in south-east London, causing her to be forcefully thrown across the road due to the impact.
Video footage circulating online depicts a red car swiftly turning a corner and then abruptly veering directly towards the woman. The car collides with her from behind and continues driving without decelerating, leaving the scene in haste.
Concerned residents who quickly came to assist stated that the driver’s actions seemed intentional, raising concerns that the woman may have been targeted deliberately.
The Metropolitan Police have confirmed that an investigation is in progress to apprehend the driver involved in the incident, which was reported to authorities by the London Ambulance Service at approximately 6:30 pm on Sunday, March 8.
“We understand the apprehension this incident may instigate in the local community and wish to assure that detectives are diligently working to identify the perpetrator,” stated the Metropolitan Police in a released statement.

The victim was transported to the hospital, where medical assessments indicated that her injuries were not life-threatening or life-altering, before being discharged. No arrests have been made by the police thus far.
Witnesses in the area expressed shock and fear, speculating that the woman may have been deliberately singled out on a street typically frequented by families and children.
“This unfortunate woman appears to have been deliberately targeted,” remarked a local resident to the Daily Mail. “It’s a dreadful situation. The driver showed no regard and fled the scene. How could such a thing occur? The entire neighborhood is in disbelief. It’s usually a lively area with families and children.”
A spokesperson from the London Ambulance Service disclosed that emergency crews were alerted to a road traffic collision around 4:30 pm on Sunday and promptly transported the injured woman to the hospital.
“We dispatched an ambulance crew, an incident response officer, and a paramedic in a rapid response vehicle to the location. Our initial responders arrived in under five minutes,” the spokesperson stated. “We provided immediate care to the woman on-site and prioritized her transfer to the hospital.”
