Sue Radford, a mother of 22 children, has revealed that her oldest daughter Sophie has ended her ten-year marriage with Joe Bradley. In an exclusive interview with The Mirror ahead of the upcoming season of their reality TV show “22 Kids & Counting,” Sue shared that while Sophie and Joe are no longer together, they are co-parenting their three children.
Known for their large family, Sue, 50, and Noel, 51, have a brood that includes children ranging from Chris, 36, to Heidie, 5. The upcoming episode of their show will delve into Sophie’s divorce, with Sue expressing pride in Sophie for opening up about her feelings.
Although rumors had been circulating since Sophie’s Instagram post last May hinting at her single status, it wasn’t until now that the family officially confirmed the split. The decision to go public was made to provide closure and transparency for all involved.
During a family trip to Orlando last April, Sue and Noel sensed tension between Sophie and Joe, leading to the realization that their marriage was troubled. Sophie’s happiness is now the priority for her parents, who acknowledge Joe’s involvement in their children’s lives post-separation.
Looking ahead, Noel mentioned that while they wish for Sophie to find love again, they respect her timeline and current focus on adjusting to single parenthood. Reflecting on their own enduring marriage, Noel humorously remarked on Sue’s good fortune in having him as a partner.
The family’s reality show is set to return on February 1st, featuring the Radfords navigating life’s challenges and joys with their large and dynamic family.
