In the highly anticipated finale of “Outlast: The Jungle,” only two contestants emerged victorious, claiming the crown. The Netflix series released its initial six episodes last week, leaving fans eager for the final two installments, which aired on June 17.
For those unfamiliar with the survival show, “Outlast” follows 16 strangers thrust into the Panama jungle with minimal supplies. Tasked with relying on their outdoor skills and wit to overcome Mother Nature’s challenges, the contestants must work together to win a substantial $1 million prize, divided equally among the winning team.
Nearly half of the participants exited the jungle within the first six episodes, missing out on the grand prize. The ultimate survivors, including Sarah Awad, Abby Chu, Morgan Colburn, Braxton Fish, Pharaoh Gayles, Nikki Hru, Maddy Jones, Leiya Pillitteri, and Wes Saunders, fought hard for victory.
However, only two contestants, Nikki Hru and Maddy Jones, emerged triumphant, each taking home $500,000. As the last remaining members of Team Alpha, they ousted Leiya Pillitteri on the final night to secure their win.
Leiya, a skilled triathlete adept at crafting shelters from bamboo, and Maddy, who honed her hunting skills from a young age, showcased their expertise, leading to their well-deserved victory.
In other news, Sky now offers a complimentary Netflix subscription with its new Sky Stream TV bundles, including the Essential TV plan. This package allows viewers to enjoy live and on-demand TV content without a satellite dish or aerial, featuring popular shows like “Stranger Things” and “The Last of Us.”
Unfortunately, Halle Cooley from Team Alpha missed out on the prize after leaving the competition early. Reflecting on her experience, she shared on Instagram how challenging yet rewarding the journey had been, highlighting personal growth and gratitude for the shared experience.
“Outlast: The Jungle” can be streamed on Netflix for those interested in watching the thrilling adventure unfold.
