Passengers on a Ryanair flight took quick action when a suitcase was sucked out of a cabin window mid-flight. The incident occurred as the crew tried to save a man who was partially sucked out of the aircraft at 20,000 feet above ground.

The man involved, Ljubiša Karović from Serbia, was flying with his wife when the terrifying event unfolded. The pilot detected an issue with the engine and decided to return to Thessaloniki over North Macedonia.

During the descent, a damaged engine part broke off, smashing a cabin window and causing the man to be partially pulled out of the plane by extreme wind forces. Despite the harrowing situation, the man’s wife managed to hold onto his legs while three other passengers helped pull him back inside the aircraft.

In a desperate move, passengers tried to seal the broken window with available luggage to prevent further danger. The incident left Mr. Karović with severe injuries, including burns and an inability to speak.

Ryanair confirmed the incident, stating that the flight returned to Thessaloniki after the window dislodged in mid-air. The passengers were transferred to another aircraft to continue their journey to Memmingen.

The heroic actions of the passengers and crew were praised for their quick thinking and bravery in the face of a dangerous situation.
