Police have unveiled a photograph of an individual they wish to speak with following an alleged sexual assault on a train originating from the Peak District. The incident reportedly occurred on the journey from Matlock to Nottingham on September 30.
According to the British Transport Police, the victim boarded the train at Duffield railway station in Derbyshire around 4:45 pm. While navigating through the train carriage, a man within a group of three individuals sexually assaulted her and made an inappropriate remark before disembarking at Nottingham.
Authorities are encouraging anyone with relevant information to step forward as the inquiry progresses. A representative from the police force stated, “Can you identify this individual? Investigators probing a sexual assault on a train from Matlock to Nottingham have made public this image for identification. On Tuesday, September 30, at approximately 4:45 pm, a woman boarded the train at Duffield railway station.”
“As she passed through the carriage, she encountered a group of three individuals. One of the men in the group proceeded to sexually assault the young woman and made an inappropriate statement. The man exited the train at Nottingham railway station.”
