“Pressure Mounts on Prince Andrew to Testify on Epstein Links”

Published on

Pressure is increasing on Andrew Mountbatten-Windsor to collaborate with US authorities conducting an investigation into the activities of Jeffrey Epstein, a deceased child sex offender.

US politicians and UK Prime Minister Keir Starmer have called on Andrew to provide testimony to the US Congress, shedding light on his relationship with Epstein. Despite vehemently denying any misconduct related to his association with Epstein, the former Duke of York faces mounting requests for clarity.

Recent developments saw Bill and Hillary Clinton agreeing to testify before Congress, adding to the pressure on Andrew to do the same. Buckingham Palace refrained from commenting on the latest revelations from the Epstein Files disclosure, stating that the decision to testify lies with Andrew’s conscience.

Andrew’s reputation took a hit when his close ties with Epstein came to light in the late 2010s. Despite claiming to have severed contact with Epstein, the release of the Epstein Files exposed Andrew’s continued communication with the convicted sex offender.

Following the emergence of further details, Andrew was stripped of his royal titles and ousted from the Royal Lodge. The recent disclosures from the Epstein Files have intensified the scrutiny on Andrew.

Allegations include Andrew being depicted in compromising positions with women associated with Epstein, as well as emails discussing arrangements to meet a Russian woman. The Russian woman, now residing in North America, disclosed her presence in the UK during the period of the mentioned email, though it remains uncertain if a meeting with Andrew occurred.

Another woman has threatened legal action against Andrew, claiming Epstein flew her to the UK for sexual purposes. She alleged visiting Buckingham Palace for tea after the encounter, which reportedly took place in her twenties around 2010.

A statement from Brittany Henderson of the US legal firm Edwards Henderson, representing the woman, emphasized Andrew’s responsibility and urged the royal family to address the situation promptly for the benefit of Epstein’s survivors.

Notably, this marked the first allegation of a sexual encounter at a royal residence involving an Epstein accuser. Buckingham Palace has been contacted for comments on the matter.
