Prince William has inadvertently revealed that his daughter, Princess Charlotte, favors a different football team than him. While the Prince of Wales is a devoted Aston Villa supporter, Princess Charlotte seems to have chosen Chelsea as her favorite club.
During a visit to Cornwall, Prince William acknowledged that 11-year-old Charlotte’s preferred team is Chelsea. This revelation came as he interacted with children from Nansledan Primary School, where he mentioned, “My daughter loves Chelsea.”
In contrast, Prince George, William’s eldest son, shares his father’s passion for Aston Villa. William has made it clear that he encourages his children, including Louis, who reportedly supports multiple teams, to choose their own allegiances. William’s affinity for Aston Villa dates back to his own childhood when he decided to support the club instead of following his peers who favored Manchester United or Arsenal.
On the other hand, the Duchess of Cambridge, Kate Middleton, is also believed to support Chelsea, much like her daughter Charlotte. It was disclosed during a Christmas party at the Anna Freud Centre, where Kate expressed her allegiance to the Blues.
Prince Harry, William’s younger brother, is reportedly a fan of Arsenal. While not as fervent about football as William, Harry has shown his affinity for the Gunners during charity activities in New Zealand. Similarly, King Charles III is known to support Burnley, as he revealed during a reception at Windsor Castle. The Duchess of Edinburgh, Sophie, is a Sunderland fan, as she is associated with the club’s charitable arm, the Foundation of Light.
The British royal family’s diverse football preferences showcase their individual interests and connections to various clubs, making for an intriguing mix of allegiances within the royal household.
