Jordan Wright, known for his appearance on The Only Way Is Essex, exhibited restlessness before his untimely demise in Thailand. The former reality TV personality had relocated to Thailand with high hopes for the upcoming year. Wright, who previously starred on an ITV reality show, gained fame for his interactions with Courtney Green and his involvement in the show’s inaugural on-screen altercation with her ex-partner, Myles Barnett.
Thai authorities confirmed Jordan’s passing and disclosed ongoing post-mortem procedures. According to Police Chief Sutthirak Chuthong, the British national had checked into a hotel alone and was scheduled to depart on March 13, but failed to do so. Surveillance footage captured him pacing anxiously near the hotel before leaving the vicinity.
The investigation, including the examination of CCTV footage and awaiting the autopsy report from Vachira Phuket Hospital, aims to ascertain any potential presence of substances in his system. The exact cause of death remains undetermined until the official autopsy findings are released.
In the weeks before his death, Jordan chronicled his adventures in Thailand on social media, showcasing activities such as motorcycling, sunset-watching, and gym workouts. His final social media post on March 6 depicted him enjoying various experiences in Thailand, expressing contentment with life.
Jordan was discovered deceased near a canal wearing a grey shirt and black trousers, with no shoes. Authorities found a hotel keycard in his possession and his phone nearby, ruling out signs of struggle or physical assault. The investigation revealed he had likely been deceased for up to two days before being found by a local worker.
A spokesperson from the Foreign and Commonwealth Office affirmed support for the deceased’s family and collaboration with local authorities during this difficult time.
