Charlotte Mulhall, known as an evil ‘Scissor Sister’ for murdering her mother’s lover, claims she has transformed while adjusting to life outside confinement. Mulhall, 44, was sentenced to over 20 years in prison for killing her mother’s Kenyan lover, Farah Swaleh Noor, 38, by slashing his throat in a drunken and drug-induced state at their Dublin residence in March 2005.
Mulhall is now on temporary release for half or full days over the upcoming months to acclimate to freedom after her incarceration. Following the gruesome incident, she and her sister dismembered the victim’s body with a bread knife in their bathroom before disposing of most remains in a suitcase in the Royal Canal. Mulhall, a mother-of-one, has maintained good behavior in Limerick Prison recently and is now under the supervision of the Independent Probation Board.
Expressing deep remorse for her actions, Mulhall seeks a fresh start after serving her sentence, aiming to leave the past behind. Her sister, Linda Mulhall, released in 2018 after a 15-year term for manslaughter, has also moved on from her troubled past as a former heroin addict. Mulhall’s future living arrangements upon her summer release and potential return to Dublin remain uncertain, as she is restricted from leaving the UK without special approval due to her parole conditions.
Expected to be fully released by the end of the summer, Mulhall will be closely monitored by the Independent Parole Board to ensure compliance with release terms. Assistance from the Probation Service will facilitate her reintegration into society, offering support in securing employment and housing discreetly. Any breach of parole conditions could lead to immediate re-incarceration, as her lifelong sentence remains in effect.
