The organization owning Revolution bars has established a deadline for bids in the upcoming week after deciding to put itself up for sale. The Revel Collective, which manages 62 establishments under brands like Revolution, Revolucion de Cuba, and Peach Pubs, initiated the sale process in October 2025 due to declining sales.
According to a report by Sky News, interested bidders must submit their offers by January 9, with FTI Consulting overseeing the formal sale proceedings. Neos Hospitality has shown interest in acquiring some of The Revel Collective sites, but it remains uncertain if they will submit a bid.
The Mirror reached out to The Revel Collective, formerly known as Revolution Bars in 2024, for a statement. The company had previously started a sales process in April 2024 but abandoned it after rejecting an offer from Nightcap. In 2024, the business shut down approximately 36 venues as part of a restructuring plan approved by the High Court.
In an update in October 2025, company executives cited challenging economic conditions and government interventions as hindrances to their progress since the restructuring. Revenue declined by 7.4% to £26.3 million in the three months leading to September, mainly driven by a 10.5% decrease in like-for-like sales in their bars division.
The company attributed the sales decline to cost-of-living pressures on their younger clientele and noted an increase in debts to £25.3 million from £22.1 million by the end of June. Luke Johnson, the former Pizza Express executive, assumed the role of chairman of The Revel Collective in September after Keith Edelman’s retirement.
Johnson expressed interest in pursuing new opportunities and acquiring established companies with unique characteristics to potentially lead the market.
